If “all lives matter” and the @GOP is really “pro-life” why do they shamelessly preside over a suicide epidemic amongst *their* White voters fueled by *their* fiscal malfeasance, fuckery of Obamacare and collusion with Big Pharma/Alcohol and the gun lobby? 🤷🏾‍♀️

The dots aren’t hard to connect here. Predominantly White people who live in rural America religiously vote for Republicans who in turn worsen their socioeconomic woes, give them unfettered access to guns and drugs, then look the other way when they die of despair. Sociopathy.

This is literally WHITE ON WHITE CRIME, but the White American majority is so convinced of its own superiority and freedom from Republican induced strife that it stands in line to vote for this shit every single fucking election. Stockholm Syndrome on 💯.

This shit is appalling and the MSM is criminally negligent for peddling the GOP’s propaganda to its predominantly White audience to the extent that it’s literally killing them. Disgrace isn’t strong enough a word.

The really sick part of all this is you can’t even implement evidenced based interventions for these high risk people because 1) they won’t stop voting Republican for racism/sexism/homophobia’s sake 2) they’ve been conditioned by Republicans to believe that help is a handout.

The article calls it a “culture of self reliance” but it could just as easily be described as “pull yourself up by your bootstraps” culture, courtesy of the @GOP. They rob their voters of everything then shame/propagandize them out of seeking restitution. “Let them eat bullets”.

Nobody wants to talk about the brass tacks reality of what’s going on here, but it’s an atrocity & the perpetrators are getting off b/c White privilege is blind, lethal and paradoxically self destructive. We can’t save people who don’t want to be saved from their own sociopathy.

The physician/scientist in me sees the disparity and wants to search for a helpful solution for these people, but the PJ in me is like you broke it you bought it, teabag.

In other words, elections have consequences. The Republican base is getting exactly what it asked for: rage, resentment, ignorance, financial strife, a broken safety net, guns, drugs and segregation, all of which are resulting in “untimely” deaths. It’s actual political suicide.

Likewise the preponderance of mass shootings and acts of domestic terrorism perpetrated by predominantly White men and boys from rural/suburban communities is yet another symptom of this *culture* of sociopathy. All of the above are exacerbated by Trump and the @GOP.

The ONLY solution is VOTING OUT the @GOP. We can’t change their voters’ core beliefs, but we can OUTVOTE them on Election Day to protect ourselves from their insatiable nihilism. They may have a death wish but they aren’t entitled to take us down with them when they go.

150+ years since the Civil War and 50+ years since the Civil Rights Movement, all that Jim Crow/institutionalized racism/apartheid/MAGA has done for White America is this:

Essentially what they’ve done is segregated themselves into rural/suburban communities full of fearful, paranoid, politically and religiously propagandized people who are self medicating with drugs, guns and fake news then turning to violence/murder/suicide as a last resort.

The @GOP and MSM will never acknowledge this cultural crisis as it stands because they are fully responsible for causing/exacerbating it. They can’t give up blaming people of color for shit the majority of White people are willfully doing to themselves. Self-fulfilling prophecy.

They’ve doubled down on sociopathy and are increasingly suffering the deadly consequences. They’re a snake eating its own tail, and chickens coming home to roost. Donald Trump and his cabal epitomize their devolution and self destruction.

Republican voters have no one to fear but themselves.
