1/ V for Vendetta is set in a dystopian future, where V, a shadowy freedom fighter, works to bring down an oppressive government.

But did you know that V is actually #Bitcoin creator, Satoshi Nakamoto?

2/ Working in film and being passionate about Bitcoin, I see #Bitcoin themes in a lot of my favorite films.

Here’s a different take to better understand the value of Bitcoin.. through films we all know and love 🧡

3/ “The only verdict is vengeance; a vendetta, held as a votive not in vain...”

Like the dystopian police state, the financial system is made to benefit those closest to the top. What about those down the ladder?

This cycle is due to end. Not in vain. For positive change.

4/…And Satoshi took the first step…

“Yes, we will not find a solution to political problems (or will we?) in cryptography, but we can win a major battle in the arms race and gain a new territory of freedom for several years.”

5/“…Our job is to report the news, not fabricate it. That's the government's job.”

Satoshi has quite the reputation. A shadowy super coder, a criminal, a leader of a Ponzi scheme.

In reality, he is HUMAN. With skills, with flaws. Stuck in a narrative battle

6/ “I do, like many of you, appreciate the comforts of everyday routine-the security of the familiar, the tranquility of repetition.”

We find comfort in routine, even Satoshi. But he got fed up.

“The Times 03/Jan/2009 Chancellor on the brink of second bailout for banks.”

7/ “…Now have censors and systems of surveillance coercing your conformity and soliciting your submission...”

Financial freedom doesn’t exist. You don’t own your wealth. The bank does.

Increasing transaction reportings. Freedom of privacy is being squeezed.

8/ “They say that life's a game, & then they take the board away.”

They say “invest your money.” But how? The stock market is overvalued, bonds… don’t bother. Who’s to decide who gets to keep their board game and who does not?

9/ “People should not be afraid of their governments, governments should be afraid of their people”

Politicians try to regulate Bitcoin but misunderstand who they're battling. #Bitcoin is a peer to peer network, tired of a broken system..those they should’ve been protecting

10/ “…a handful of oppressors have accepted the responsibility over our lives that we should have accepted for ourselves. By doing so, they took our power. By doing nothing, we gave it away.

People are listening.

Opt out, opt into a peer to peer system. Break the cycle

11/ “Beneath this mask there is more than flesh, beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.”

V is never unmasked, Satoshi is never unmasked.

The face is not what’s important, it’s the idea...

12/ “We are told to remember the idea, not the man, because a man can fail. He can be caught, he can be killed and forgotten, but 400 years later, an idea can still change the world.”

#Bitcoin is the idea. A peaceful tactic, with high effectiveness and it can’t be stopped…

13/ A man is a point of failure.

Satoshi disappears, a decentralized movement begins and the torch is passed to the people.

We are all the human behind the mask

14/ Is Satoshi, V? And is V, Satoshi?

Honestly, who cares? Focus on the idea... #Bitcoin

15/ If you like these, please share and give me a follow! I’ll be looking for more films to break down and relate to #Bitcoin
