THREAD: DHS published a report a few days ago highlighting its first year successes.

Unfortunately, this report has been overshadowed by the recent Border Patrol shooting.

Let's take a look at what Trump's DHS has accomplished so far.

🧵🧵🧵

DHS sealed the border shut, resulting in 95% fewer encounters per day than during the Biden administration.

People forget that Trump 45 struggled with the border. But not Trump 47, which got it secured pretty early on.

Under Secretary Noem, DHS removed more than 675,000 illegals. Additionally, roughly 2.2 million illegals have self-deported.

The majority of these deportations occurred before BBB funding (~$170 billion) kicked in, so we can expect the rate to increase this year.

The Biden administration lost nearly half a million kids thanks to its reckless open borders policies. Tragically, many of these children are presumed to have fallen prey to exploitation and abuse.

The Trump administration has located 132,000 of them so far.

USCIS (a component of DHS) launched Operation Twin Shield, its largest enforcement operation to date, which is focused on fraud. It has investigated 1000 cases, visited 2000 sites, and completed 1500 interviews – many in the Twin Cities.

Following Trump's orders, Secretary Noem revitalized the Coast Guard in many ways, making our country considerably safer.
