Public comment opportunity for those who filled out a yellow card. They received 5 minutes to address the board. First speaker was Joseph McArthur he thanked President Stelle and the board for the fair summary of his comments from the last meeting. With MWRD in the lead to

legalize encroachments and restore flood storage capacity to protect the corridor for everyone.

The next public comment speaker was Mayor Ken Kelin of Crestwood. He sent emails to members of the board concerning the lease on the Cal Sag. 1.1 acres on the westside of Cicero. MWRD approved the lease but, the item was pulled from the agenda and was never voted on.

It was brought to Mayor Kelin's attention that the board doesn't approve of video gaming and the Casino. That is the main reason why their lease has not been approved. The village has spent all of their reserve money.

They have spent all of their reserve money 10 million dollars. And they have nothing to show for it.

The profits from this will help so Crestwood can have a full time police force. Mayor Kelin talked with the MWRD law department. But, has yet gotten an answer why this item was pulled from the agenda.
