Yup! For most of our history, SCOTUS served to reinforce corporate power, aka the “right to contract.” Warren Court a huge departure from norm, that might now be over.
It would be a good time to read up on the “Lochner era,” during which SCOTUS struck down various government labor laws and business regulations under a peculiar reading if the 14th amendment. en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lochner_e…
Oh, and this is not some unintended regression to a norm. It's the result of literally decades of activism, centered on the Federalist Society, which gave us (among others) CJ Roberts and AJs Alito and Gorsuch.
With apologies to Dr King, the arc of the moral universe doesn't "bend" in any direction. It is bent.
