*AHEM* A story, in multiple parts, about @WestElm. Last year, I ordered an Adult Couch. It arrived broken. It took them two months to give me a new one, which was fine, bc it was good enough and I wanted an Adult Chair, which could be delivered at the same time as the new couch.
The very last day in the delivery window comes and goes. No word from West Elm. I call multiple times. Finally, delivery scheduled. Delivery day comes. I stay home from work. No furniture arrives. I call. They have forgotten to put it on the truck.
I am given some money back. The Adult Couch and Adult Chair arrive several days later. They are fine. I have $20 or so in store credit left over after this debacle. Several months before, I had purchased some nice mugs at West Elm. I decide to order two more. This was in February
My first mug, of two, arrives last month! I get a delivery notification the second mug will arrive by Aug. 18. I tweet about this. West Elm DMs, to tell me to ignore that because the yellow mug is not - after all - in stock.
And, finale, today — one day after being told I will never receive my yellow mug after six months of waiting — I receive this:
Applause, West Elm. For — improbably — being completely unable to appropriately deliver a single product I have ever ordered from you. Including mugs.

~the end~
OMG GUYS I FORGOT THAT I ORDERED A COFFEE TABLE FROM THEM IN 2015 AND IT ARRIVED SCRATCHED.

WHY DO I KEEP DOING THIS TO MYSELF.

Truly, all of this is my own fault.
If anyone would like to commission this as a performance piece for The Theater I am available for bookings.
