People are spreading some panic, but the line in the sand was ALWAYS Monday. Everything else was posturing and giving away nothing while appearing flexible.
The Monday vote was NEVER given up. Period. If you know you can vote Monday, then what is the cost of giving repeatedly broken deadlines? A bit of face?
What is the BENEFIT of your deadlines being repeatedly broken:

You gain credence. You show flexibility. “So one day wasn’t enough? How about a few more hours? How about a few more? And a few more? Ok, take another day.”

And when they refuse? “You’re done. Vote Monday.”
