OK, I get it. Damien Chazelle's deal is he believes suffering, loss, and sacrifice are A) necessary and B) worth it to achieve greatness.

He sells B very well but has yet to convince me of A.

This is why I don't title videos "Has Cultivation Theory Been Disproven?" and suchlike. More people will see the title than will hear the argument and come away thinking the wrong thing.
Framing your argument such that it will be properly understood is often at cross purposes to how The Algorithm wants it phrased, which will be covered in a future video.

Innuendo Studios Year in Review:
This year I had a video break 1 million views for the first time. Just this morning, another video did as well. A third is on track to break a mill in Q1 2019.
My channel broke 100,000 subscribers.

In fact, I did the math and gained roughly 70,000 subs this year, which is about the same as my entire career to this point.

So in 2018 I doubled my sub count.

Anyways, I want to start you all at the very beginning. Here.
If you haven't been folling my feed very well, than you probably don't know that I first interjected in one of Talib's threads back in September with a very genuine position on the word "nigger". Basically anyone can or should be able to use this word, as it is just a word.
If people get upset over this, it is because they allow any sort of negative connotations of that word to affect them in a negative way. I do not think that we should adhere to their sensitivity, because there is no benefit in adhering to one's personal rules about this word.

1/ Talked to a NYAG attorney last night, who said this:

2/ My thoughts:

We aren’t even seeing major crackdown from all of the state regulators yet. We are in the middle of “Operation Cryptosweep” (Yup that’s the actual name) that over 40+ states are engaged in.

Excellence is dependent on other people, like judges, examiners, teachers, assessors, inspectors, auditors. But we can't control these people and whether they think we're excellent or not.

#b 'Teknik menjawab' is not a series of rituals that you carry out to secure an A in the exam. You don't get guaranteed an A just through superficial actions like highlighting keywords or drawing meniscus or inserting isi tersirat.
The problem is students and teachers treat teknik menjawab as some sort of pseudo magical ritualistic gestures that will bring a certain outcome. Draw a pentagram, slaughter a chicken, and your wish will be granted.
Some remote Pacific Islanders in 1940s came in contact with Allied and Japanese soldiers who were more technologically advanced and thought the soldiers were gods who had many "cargo" (canned food, electronics, modern stuff)
