It is no secret that the classic age of pulp was dominated by male writers.
Yes, there were exceptions (C.L. Moore and Leigh Brackett probably being the most well known, but also Margery Lawrence and Margie Harris and yes, Agatha Christie) but...
It's 2018. I would hope that we would see a more equal distribution in writers submitting to us.
And yes, we get it. Action/adventure fiction has long been a male driven market.
And we are two male editors, and that might play a role as well.
It is really hard to show case writers who identify as female, however, when the vast majority of submissions we receive are from guys. We're not saying we're trying for any sort of quota or minimum representation.
We're not saying we're picking stories for any reason other than quality.

But.

Women. Come on. We know you are out there, we know you can right fiction sharp as a razor edge against a neck. As brutal as a pistol whip to the back of the head.
As exotic as a jeweled temple to a forgotten god, or as ephemeral as morning mist on an undiscovered planet.

Send. Us. Your. Stories.
Don't self-reject. You've got a piece that if you squint real hard you think we might take? Send it in.
We're currently looking at 8 slots each for probably 3 issues. We've got room is what I'm saying. Afraid of rejection? We're pretty easy going as it is, and we aim for personal feedback if we do end up passing on your story.

No submission fee. Simultaneous okay.
And(!) we're aiming to get back to everybody by the end of the year, so no waiting months just to hear back that your story was passed on.
