Yep, I got this wrong as well.

Or did I? Well, yes. I did say I thought that's what she, pushed by some in Cabinet, was doing.

Hmm, but, but...
..but, I'm not 100% sure all the evidence is in yet.

If the PM is genuinely willing to walk us over a No Deal precipice if the deal is rejected rather than taking one of the other routes that are (actually) available, is it really that much different?
The consequences are the same, if not slightly worse as it happens, as a Walk-out would have left more time for preparation.
I think it has been shown that I and others who said that the intention was No Deal have probably been proved wrong.

Again though, but...
If you wanted no deal, and wanted others to be blamed, spending 2 years spectacularly failing to manage expectations by promising things you were never going to get, then actually agreeing a deal you know would be rejected, would be one way to do that.
But that's not enough to show intention, and the chaotic nature of the government suggests that sustaining that sort of level of strategic planning and discipline would have been beyond them.
So, yes, I think I was wrong that this was the plan all along.

Unless the PM is willing to take action to avoid No Deal though, or unless she does not try to stop Parliament deciding that she must, then the outcome would be the same as if it had been.
And I'm a (type of) consequentialist, not a deontologist.
