When I say being expensive, I mean a lot of things. Here are some of the things I mean. #CripTax
Epsom salts, which my roommate and I go through at 2-3 bags a month. Copious amounts of hot water.

Time spent resting in the tub, because without it your legs are burning.
Cabs, for when the Circulator doesn’t show up on time. (Often.) Cabs when getting to the doctor takes more than an hour by public transit. Wheelchair accessible cabs, and the time it takes them to get to you.
Gas, for when the $60 Lyft to get to the one female gastro near you free in Annapolis isn’t doable. The day you have to take off work, or feel bad if you’re me and don’t have to.
The emotional energy constantly output by respectability policing with doctors, insurance, medical equipment providers, Metro Access people. It doesn’t end. If you aren’t nice you don’t get what you need. If you aren’t mad, you don’t get what you need.

There is no winning.
Unscented detergents, minimally scented cleaning products, to avoid migraines-yours or someone you love’s.
Being SICK is expensive, get it together 5 AM me
Life saving drugs, biologics, EpiPens, mobility aids, many of which require battle with insurance. Time spent looking up copay cards, coinsurance programs.
Braces, endless braces. KT tape, at least a few times a month. Orthotics.
Time spent yelling at medical debt collectors.
Time spent educating people. Yes, even the well meaning ones. Sleep, always sleep.
