The Apostle Paul was not double-minded; he was a human being, who lived in some contradictions, as we all do.

Yes, his words are inspired by God; but in some cases, Paul himself states that he is sharing his own opinion (1 cor 7:6). Paul is not always commanding the same for all
Paul’s words are letters to specific churches with specific circumstances. He is not always making universal & timeless commands. This is the difference between his words and Jesus’.

Where Paul seems contradicting, we compare his words to Jesus; not the other way around.
Jesus lifted women up.

Jesus defied gender roles.

Jesus included women.

Jesus challenges the patriarchy.

Jesus respected women.

Jesus empowered women.

Jesus truly loved women.

When in doubt about someone’s interpretation of Scripture, follow Jesus!
