Probably my last opinion on #NUFC for a while. Like most fans I've become completely disillusioned with the football club, and in fact football in general over the past few months. Even talking about Newcastle United is no longer an enjoyable experience. What is the point? (1/10)
Obviously Mike Ashleys ownership of #NUFC is the main contributing factor to my general dislike towards football today. He has completely destroyed the club I was mad about and spent every day of the past 24 yrs loving. Yet every day he continues to get away with it (2/10)
The media are crucial to all aspects of every aspect of life in the 21st century. Our local media in the North East have done nothing to seriously show they care about the future of #NUFC - or to seriously (and I mean seriously) question/combat Ashley or Charnley. (3/10)
For the national media, aside from @ChrisDHWaugh & @GeorgeCaulkin - I weep for the future. Working in the interests of big corp. looking down on the real people in this world and all too comfortable in their 'journo bubble' they contribute to the wider problems in football (4/10)
@ChrisDHWaugh @GeorgeCaulkin I even find myself hating on other fans - fellow fans - and that is the most painful part of supporting Newcastle United today. The fact that we have all turned against each other, rather than directing our anger/hate towards one horrible man and his running of our club. (5/10)
@ChrisDHWaugh @GeorgeCaulkin For some it came 12 years ago & for others it came when Rafa left. This football club really doesn't exist anymore - I ask myself in this January window. Why do you care who #NUFC sign on loan? It doesn't matter. It doesn't affect anything. It is all fucking pointless (6/10)
@ChrisDHWaugh @GeorgeCaulkin There will be another takeover rumour, this time next year. Again, why has the media not questioned any of the anomalies? Why do they go along with this charade? You do not have to be a GCC expert to know that the Crown Prince of KSA has no in interest in buying #NUFC (7/10)
@ChrisDHWaugh @GeorgeCaulkin I just have no appetite for it anymore. No appetite for being lied to. No appetite to give my money (or time) to a man that has built his entire fortune on stealing time and money from working class people. (8/10)
@ChrisDHWaugh @GeorgeCaulkin You may care who #NUFC sign in the January window, or you may care if we beat Norwich tomorrow. Thats fine. But lately I have come to the conclusion that I really don't care. Thanks to Mike Ashley, Lee Charnley, the Chronicle and Sky, I just don't love it anymore. (9/10)
@ChrisDHWaugh @GeorgeCaulkin I don't love #NUFC anymore because, in truth, it doesn't really exist anymore - and it hasn't for a long while.
