BLOOD TYPE AND COVUD-19
@evolutionarypsy
“I posted this yesterday and while it is interesting and tracks to SARS 1 also, just wanted to reiterate, this does not mean O is invulnerable and you should go lick people’s faces. Plenty of Type O get severe disease”. (See tweet 3/18/20)
BLOOD TYPE & COVUD-19: That the study was performed does seem odd. Yet, I seem to remember studies performed years ago wherein average native intelligence of racial groups was found to be associated with blood type.
Intelligence is considered to be dependent on a variety of genes & all of which are generally found in all humans. Penetrance of intelligence seems to be a function of the peculiar gene mix that an individual inherits.
The dynamic of genetic inheritance includes associations of traits in constellations peculiar to racial groups; hair texture, color, & etc. A natural principle that intelligence genes are inured to pressures of natural selection amongst humans seems an unsettled issue.
If I remember correctly, studies of years ago purported to show that blood type B is supposedly associated with higher measurements of intelligence & that blood type B is found with greater frequency in persons with asian ancestry.
Blood clotting dycrasias are among the prominent severe pathophysiological phenomena in COVID-19 infestation. It would be interesting to study if Asians with type B blood have increased resistance to COVID-19 mortality.
Scientists who study malaria are aware that the genetic trait of sickle cell anemia seems an evolutionarily-selected trait in Africans, & that persons with sickle deformed red cells are also less prone to invasion of their blood cells by malaria parasites in Africa.
Similarly, if a certain blood type were more greatly inured to infection by COVID-19, it might be theorized that people with this blood type would become regionally concentrated in subsequent generations.
The hypothesis might suggest that humans with certain blood types will be culled out of a population that lives contiguous with pangolin (bat) species harboring coronaviruses. Persons with different blood types will more frequently survive & procreate.
Are we watching Darwinian “survival of the fittest” in real time?
