NIA claims in a press release that the accused were propagating Naxal activities and Maoist ideology.
NIA press release: Also it is established that during their visits (of Kabir Kala Munch, members) in jungle, they underwent weapon & explosive training and awareness programme on various topics related to Maoist movement.
In this video, posted a day before their arrest, Sagar Gorkhe says they were pressurised by NIA to apologize or become a State witness. Gorkhe says he told NIA that "we are sons of Ambedkar not Savarkar."

NSCN-IM has for the first time released the details of the 2015 framework agreement and has accused interlocutor R.N. Ravi of deleting a key word from the original document and sharing the modified version with other Naga groups.
The NSCN said till now it had refrained from publishing the agreement respecting the “tacit understanding reached between the two sides not to release to the public domain for security reasons of India”.

A senior government official said, “The letter by Nagaland Governor alluding to the NSCN-IM as an armed gang was seen as an insult by the leadership. The movement is more than 70 years old and they feel that the trust they established with the interlocutor is now broken.”
The official said the security agencies were trying to end the stalemate and find a middle ground so that talks do not collapse.
