Lampard stressed on our players needing to take responsibility on the ball in areas where a lil inventiveness and creative thought was needed. He got slaughtered by Twitter "analysts". Now Tuchel, undoubtedly one of the most detail oriented and tactically versatile coaches on the
Planet says the exact same things. We had to listen to months of absolute idiots saying" it's a coaching issue" with zero context only for a top manager to come in and demand more from the players. Don't get me wrong, Tuchel needs time to implement his ideas. But sometimes.....
The buck stops with the players. From the 2015/16 season we've seen our players shoulders drop and coast thru games making safe 5 yard passes at the first sign of adversity. The coach can shout his lungs out from the sidelines, but those on the pitch need to step the fuck up.
And no this is not an overreaction to one draw. This is something I've seen play out for 6 years now. And good managers have gotten shit from our fanbase
