Nebosch/SAMTRAC (Safety Management Training Course)

Preferred Qualifications:

Post graduate qualification in
Health &Safety Management

Professional Registration:

Registration with SACPCMP

Minimum Experience:

5 years management experience in the implementation of a SHEQ system

Key Outputs:

Reporting to the Water Services Asset Manager, the appointee will:
Develop, maintain and promote the Amatola SHEQ System
Manage the Internal Auditing of the SHEQ system by evaluating Amatola Water’s effective implementation of procedures and methodologies to conform to SHEQ requirements
Develop and implement hazard
identification and risk assessment systems for all departments in order to facilitate effective risk reduction plans and actions
Manage and administer the construction contracts and processes, including the preparation and coordination of the necessary documentation to
facilitate effective execution of the works
Promote awareness and understanding of SHE aspects to entrench a SHEQ culture within departments
Perform monthly and annual trend analysis and interpretation in order to pro-actively and systematically reduce the severity
and frequency of SHE incidents and conserve resources
Manage SHEQ training
Conduct Occupational hygiene surveys
Manage all resources of the unit

Other requirements needed:

Computer literate
Sound knowledge of the Construction Regulations pertaining
to SHE plans
Valid unendorsed driver’s licence
Sound problem solving, analytical and communication skills
Relevant Integrated SHEQ Courses (ISO 9001, ISO14001 and OHASAS 18001)
Relevant Lead Auditors Courses (OHASAS 18001, ISO 9001 and ISO14001)
Relevant Environmental and OHASAS Law Courses
Relevant Risk Assessment Training Courses
Construction Management Training Courses
