They want the pandemic to last forever. Pulling every lever they have access to:
I don't know how you can be a "legal expert" in 2022 and still not understand that the law is now whatever 5 conservatives on the supreme court want it to be. We don't live in a democracy or country with the rule of law as long as this persists

As someone who is generally skeptical of the beneficial impact of electric vehicles in a lot of areas, it feels weridly underappreciated how much their proliferation will improve local air quality (despite the fact they still generate particulates from tire wear)
One of the strangest and sadly forgotten impacts of the Spring 2020 lockdowns was cities around the world seeing unbelievably good air quality in a literally startling way, and it's not crazy to think it'll just be like that everywhere all the time in ten years.
And given the long human history of burning wood for heat, in a lot of populated places, this will result in literally the cleanest air since they've been inhabited by human beings. We largely eliminated the burning-stuff-for-heat in the background in the last 100 years

"Interrogation Cop Show" is such a constricted and formulaic genre and yet I could watch like 80,000 episodes of them before I got tired of it.

Your tv show can just be hours of people sitting across a table in a little room if you just give the actors interesting things to do.
Anyway CRIMINAL (UK): really good!
HOMICIDE: LIFE ON THE STREET was one of my favorite shows growing up and while it wasn't *strictly* an interrogation show, the best episodes were always interrogation episodes and the show understood and pioneered the genre. More people should copy it!

The inability for many on the left to take the win on this is baffling and self defeating
The fact that the direct payments and enhanced UI pushed by Bernie Sanders made the US economy the strongest in the world, coming out of the pandemic with huge working class wage growth and the unemployment rate under 4%
49 out of 50 democratic senators support doing this and the bill doing so has already passed the house. I think it's a failure they can't get it passed but that's different than what you're saying

If you are extraordinarily lucky (and flying out of LGA not JFK) it is occasionally possible to make it from Manhattan to the airport and through security in "barely over an hour" but you aren't getting to Boston.
Madrid and Barcelona are about the same distance apart as Philadelphia and Boston. The travel time on high speed rail is 2 hours and 45 minutes between two downtown stations and the train has displaced over 80% of the air travel on the route since opening
Right like literally two sets of tracks gives you essentially unlimited throughput of human beings (by my math, you would need approx 5 fully loaded trains in each direction a day to replace all of the passenger air travel between boston and NYC)

I think the reason that so many people keep coming back to the monstrous "deprioritize medical treatment for vaccine refusers" idea is that the conservatives are doing everything in their power to foreclose all the other options.
If you can't get people to do health mitigations like masking and distancing, if you can't compel them to be vaccinated, you're left with "hey innocent people with unrelated health problems are just going to die for no reason when the hospitals fill up with antivaxxers"
"We insist on killing some of you and there's nothing you can do about it" isn't a tenable situation, and "medical resources should go to vaccine refusers last" is going to be an option that looks increasingly appealing if no others are open
