Ukraine SITREP 1. Russian air/missile strikes continued yesterday and overnight, but were significantly reduced with no sign of any obvious retaliatory strikes for the Saki airbase attack this week. Russian air activity was also more subdued yesterday.
2. There were reports of explosions at the Ziabrauka airfield southeast of Gomel in Belarus yesterday night. This is a primary airfield used by Russian aircraft in operations against Ukraine and is just circa 35km from the border.
3. Some unverified reports of a sabotage type attack, but Belarus MOD said it was an incident with an engine fire.
4. Ukrainian SF and partisan attacks continue behind enemy lines and in occupied regions with sabotage attacks on railway and other infrastructure, fuel supplies and even assassinations regularly reported, but difficult to verify. No verification on Ziabrauka airfield incident.
5. Russian shelling continues to be intensive around Bakhmut, north of Donetsk and north of Kherson, with shelling exchanges significantly increased across the Slovyansk frontlines. In most other impacted regions shelling was more sporadic.
6. Increased sporadic Russian shelling into the Sumy region occurred again yesterday.
7. Fighting continues to be its most fierce around Bakhmut with activity around much of the south and east. Air/missile strikes and numerous offensives by Russian ground forces occurred around here yesterday with minimal gains.
8. The main offensives were on Zaitseve, Dacha, and Kodema and all were eventually repelled after long fighting and losses on both sides.
9. Some fighting continues east of Soledar, but without significant offensives yesterday and with more indications of Russian units moving south. Near Siversk Russian Private Contractors tried to move into Hryorivka, but were repelled.
10. Around Izyum fighting occurred west of the city in the forests where Ukrainian forces have consolidated and as Russian forces continue to manoeuvre units back north.
11. There was no significant activity elsewhere around Izyum other than Ukrainian localised counteroffensives re-securing more ground and settlements including Dovhen'ke south of Izyum where Russian Airborne forces had been located.
12. North of Donetsk fighting continues to increase and escalate with Russian forces attacking Pisky with TOS-1 thermobaric rockets yesterday. Russian forces also attacked Yakovlivka, but were repelled. Fighting continues in this region, but with no significant changes.
13. East of Zaporizhzhia Ukrainian forces conducted airforce SEAD operations against Russian artillery and command posts, with further moderate gains in their counteroffensive operations on the ground.
14. Around Kherson Ukrainian forces hit Russian defensive positions around Vesele and targeted more strategic infrastructure and defensive positions in and around the Kherson region including Bruskynske.
15. Ukrainian aircraft conducted numerous successful SEAD operations targeting artillery units and ADS.
16. Several bridges have now also been destroyed or damaged to prevent Russian resupply and reinforcements, isolating many units. Heavy shelling and airstrikes occurred in the north and around the Inhulets yesterday and last night and is ongoing this morning.
17. Russian Naval activity in the Black Sea remains mostly unchanged with sightings near Snake island again.
Ukraine: A good analysis of what could or might have happened this week at the Airbase explosions just across the border in Belarus. The recent ADS deployment could be something.

Ukraine Update 1. Sorry limited time for Twitter posts this week due to operational priorities so we shall try to appraise the last few days concisely.
2. Russia continues to launch cruise missile attacks, launched from the land, sea and air, but the number as a trend continues to decline.
3. The south and southeast continued to be the regions mostly targeted. The accuracy of impacts also appears to continue to decline as both advanced munitions and components for them become less available.
