If #Covid was not a persistent infection lingering in 🧠 ❤️ 🫁 (sometimes ruining them) —even in those w “mild” or asymptomatic cases— I wouldn’t be that concerned abt it at this point.

BUT IT IS.

You deserve to know that & decide if u consent. #LongCovid

I DON’T.
I have not been overly worried abt the acute illness for a while Bc the acute illness IS NOT THE PROBLEM NOW for most. Vaxxed or not.

The real problem is the high rate of organ & vascular damage and elevated risk of sudden death following infection.
And the fact is we have NOTHING to prevent #LongCovid at this time OTHER THAN NOT BEING INFECTED.

If you’ve already been infected & are ok, great! That doesn’t mean you will be so lucky the next time or the time after that.

Me? I don’t play Russian Roulette with my organs.
I play the long game.

I know what it’s like to be in ❤️ failure (from Lyme carditis) and not be able to breathe.

I’m not stupid enough to touch that fire twice.
If our public health and federal officials cared about us, they would be the ones telling you this.

Instead, it comes from people like me who have no conflicts of interest or motivations beyond caring about humanity.

Sad & enraging state of affairs.
Last thing: long-term symptoms and”& organ damage often don’t manifest right away.

There is commonly a latency period of weeks to months, to prob even years. This means you feel ok after infection for a while, & get symptoms down the road.

Many infections work like this!
I recovered from my acute Lyme infection within a few days in July 2014.

I felt ok til October.

Was in heart failure by December.

I was “young & healthy” & at the prime of my life & music career.

Almost died bc 12 “top” MDs blew off my tick bite & wouldn’t listen to me.
Like #Covid_19, #Lyme can invade organs, cause debilitating illness like: MS, fibromyalgia, dementia, ❤️ failure, anxiety, depression, psychosis etc.

THIS HAS ALL BEEN COVERED UP IN THE LAST 30+ YEARS BC IT’S SO WIDESPREAD & EXPENSIVE TO FIX!

From 1989: drive.google.com/file/d/1dxBZHP…
Here’s a brief version of what happened to me on @HHSGov site.

Lyme can be chronic, just like COVID.

Anyone who tells you otherwise is lying or seriously misinformed. Hundreds of studies demonstrate this.

🔥 He can’t provide real refs Bc he’s lying.

I almost died from chronic Lyme which caused me to go into heart failure. Here’s a partial chronic Lyme ref list, mostly from @IDSAInfo MDs/ scientists, put together by Harvard ID doc.

Enough with this bs. drive.google.com/file/d/1dpR1T0…

Without doing my own research, I wouldn’t have known:

✅12 “top” NYC docs were wrong, & it was #Lyme causing my ❤️ failure (I recovered w abx!)

✅ Covid is airborne

✅ N95s or better were the only masks that worked well against it

✅ herd immunity to Covid was a charade
Doing my own research has literally saved my life & the lives of many of my loved ones.

Anyone denigrating “doing your own research” is giving horrible advice & gaslighting you. Understand that they are afraid important truths you may learn.
Don’t know how many times people need to be sucker-punched and blindsided to see this.

Do your own research when things don’t feel right.

Trust your instincts.

If you want clear understanding of #monkeypox, read this excellent PDF from Nigerian CDC.

✅ can spread via micro-cuts in skin that you don’t perceive
✅can be airborne
✅isolate until you are completely healed (poor @CDCgov guidance fails here!) etc

ncdc.gov.ng/themes/common/….
😳 Page 13. Case fatality rate ranges between 1-10%!

Has this been widely reported?
Most deaths reported in young people. 😭

Why did we fail to stop this???! @POTUS @WHO @CDCgov @NHSEngland @60Minutes @ABC @CBSNews @NBCNews

My mom: Did you hear @POTUS has symptoms again? Think he was reinfected… in a week??

Me: No. I think it was a rebound from Paxlovid.

Mom: But isn’t that RARE?

Me: No.

Mom: But isn’t he vaccinated??

Me: As far as I know.

Mom: So how did he even get covid?
Me: Mom, I’ve been telling you for over a year that the vaccine won’t block you from getting Covid. Who is saying otherwise?

Mom: The news. And BTW I think @POTUS is sick because he didn’t REST! Who’s sending him out to work with Covid?? His wife must think OY VEY!!
Anyway, in spite of 2.5 years of passionate education, my parents still believe what they hear “on the news.” The news that’s all wrong.

They still wear N95s indoors though. Which is all I care about.

Are we keeping track of who’s been minimizing #MPX & of those claiming it won’t spread much beyond MSM?

I’m feeling extreme Feb 2020 vibes & reiterate that scientists I trust are increasingly alarmed.

If we learned anything from Covid, it’s that under-reacting = ☠️.

🚨 THE COSTS 💴 OF #LongCovid:

“…the relatively meager attention that has been paid to #LongCOVID is unfortunate because its health and economic consequences are likely to be every bit as substantial as those due to acute illness.” jamanetwork.com/journals/jama-…
#Longcovid has been found in ppl w only mild initial illness. The most common symptom is fatigue. More severe cases involve damage to a variety of organ systems (lungs, heart, nervous system, kidneys, and liver have all been implicated), along with mental health impairment.”
“British population data suggest that 22% to 38% of people with the infection will have at least 1 COVID-19 symptom 12 weeks after initial symptom onset, and 12% to 17% will have 3 or more symptoms.
Rates this high translate to an enormous number of people with #LongCovid.”
