The Alice and Bob characters were invented by Ron Rivest, Adi Shamir, and Leonard Adleman in their 1978 paper "A Method for Obtaining Digital Signatures and Public-key Cryptosystems". A bob is a mass on the end of a pendulum. Bob presumably represents conventional methods.
Another interesting item is the "Alice" court case in June 2014 about a patent with regard to an international financial network that facilitates multicurrency transactions. "THE POST-ALICE JURISPRUDENCE PENDULUM AND ITS EFFECTS ON PATENT-ELIGIBLE SUBJECT MATTER".
This case mirrors SEC vs Ripple in so many ways where SEC claims $XRP security based on the Howey test but Ripple says it is not as $XRP and technology is not just doing something similar. It is something non-conventional. Alice had a two-step test as below
I think Alice case is the card under the sleeve of the night. Ripple is not simply using technology to do cross-border payments as it is done today using the same methods. It is the blue brick behind the shelves
Hence, I believe The clock (case) is Alice and Bob is the swinging pendulum-like in the Alice Case. The case was decided by Federal supreme court. Could this mean the Supreme court will decide on a Ripple test?
the Alice & Bob Twin paradox: During Alice’s journey, she and Bob each see the other’s clock running slow. However, the situation is not symmetrical. Alice has to change velocity three times. At the end of her journey, she is younger than her twin.
Representations of characters/Items/Actions?
