Web3 gaming: Just a hype or generational wealth?

I am pretty sure the next 100x opportunities are around the corner and I will explain you why I am so sure about it 🧵👇

(1/19)
It's important to understand the current economy behind Web2 gaming first.

Lucky enough, I am an "expert" on that field.

I will give you some examples about the skin economy in csgo and it will be pretty easy to understand why there will be massive opportunities.

(2/19)
That's how trading in 2016 looked like.

Most people traded "skins for skins" and we used keys as a fixed currency (~$2 per key).

Keep in mind, you can cash everything out for real money.

(3/19)
You can sell skins on the Steam market, but they take a 13% cut and you can't convert your Steam balance into real money.

Valve (CSGO developer) also decided to implement a 7 day trade lock for newly acquired items.

(4/19)
Most people started using third-party marketplaces. They take a smaller cut and you can cash out your money.

The most used one is Buff. It is a chinese site and by far the most liquid one.

You are almost forced to use it for the massive liquidity on there.

(5/19)
But you can only cash out if you have Alipay.

People are pretty much selling on Buff to buy another skins with the balance (That's how most people trade today) and you always have the 7 day trade lock.

(6/19)
If you want to cash out your balance on Buff, you have to:

1. Buy a skin on Buff
2. Wait out the 7 days trade lock period
3. Send your skin to a different third-party marketplace

I think you can see where I am going with this and why I believe in Gaming + NFTs

(7/19)
"But that doesn't mean there will be great investment opportunities?!"

Alright, now comes the interesting part.

This is the chart of "Phoenix Cases". I personally bought 2,500 of them at 0.03€ each and they are now worth 2€ each.

(8/19)
There are over 30 different cases and they all follow the same pattern.

This is one of the first cases (It went from 0.12€ to 50€).

Why is that happening?

(9/19)
You get cases dropped for free by playing the game.

New cases with new skins are released and old cases will be discontinued to drop.

That leads to a supply shock because the supply will be capped at some point but people keep opening them.

(10/19)
If you really want to take a deep dive into the skin economy, I would suggest you to check out reddit.com/r/csgomarketfo…

Warning, you won't understand everything in just some hours!

(11/19)
Cases were the safest bet to get high ROIs, but they are just one small part.

I can't go into every single detail.

But here are some more examples and I am sure you will understand how big this market is.

(12/19)
This sticker for example is going for $20,000+

It is not sold that often anymore, because there are just a few left and most of them are going OTC.

You might be shocked after you find out about the utility of this sticker.

(13/19)
You can put it on a skin.

That's it, you won't be able to get that sticker back and you immediately lose 90-95% of the value.

You can sell the skin, but the market value for that is far below the sticker value.

(14/19)
The market cap of all csgo items is above $2 Billion!

The exact number is not to determine because many skins are sitting in private inventories.

(15/19)
There will be "normal" NFTs in Web3 gaming (You can play your Bored Ape for example), but they will just play a small role.

Web3 games will implement existing systems like skins and cases in csgo, Season Passes etc and that's where the real opportunities will be.

(16/19)
And that's why I am almost 100% sure there will be life changing opportunities if you have deep knowledge about it.

When will those opportunities come? It will probably take some more time. My guess would be somewhere around end of 2023 or a bit later.

(17/19)
The skin economy could have crashed if the player base of csgo would have decreased significantly.

But we won't necessarily have to bet on one single game because of the interoperability, which will also have a positive impact on price action.

My 1 → 100 ETH journey is officially done.

I want to do a quick recap, tell you how I have done it and give some tips for your own trading journey 🧵👇

(1/18)
But some boring stuff first because I want to be 100% transparent.

The above screenshot is from Magically, Blur for example only shows a 93 ETH profit.

I can't 100% tell where the differences come from but there is still some important stuff to talk about.

(2/18)
In this example the entry price is 0 because I had to mint from different wallets.

It calculates a 12,8 ETH profit but the real profit would only be 12,248 ETH.

Another example is the Otherside mint where the profit is wrong because the mint was in Apecoin.

I sold my y00t at the peak bottom for like $750 and it was the best investment decision in my life 🧵👇

(1/4) Image
Why did they go so low?

It was after FTX happened, Solana crashed and NFTs crashed.

Most of my networth was in crypto during that time.

Because I also had a lot on FTX, I lost 70% of my networth in the span of some days/weeks.

(2/4)
Not only Solana was at the peak bottom tho, my mental health also was!

Many sleepless nights for multiple months, but I can't even describe in words how I felt during that time.

I watched crypto and NFT prices for 10+ hours a day.

I made a huge bag compared to my liquidity in the S1 airdrop.

I stopped farming S2 because it's not worth it with the current competition.

But I finally found a good strategy. I wonder why nobody is talking about Listing Points.. 🧵👇

(1/11)
Blur said Listing Points are a secret in the beginning, but they have changed that.

It's pretty clear now and obviously there is some good money to be made if you know how this works.

(2/11)
We already needed to list in S1 and the formular will at least be pretty similar.

The simplified formular looks like this: AxBxC

A: volume of the collection
B: floor price of the collection
C: how close is your listing to floor price or below "top trait"

I only used 2-4 ETH and made 38,700 $BLUR with the first airdrop.

Many people requested a thread about my strategy.

Here is everything you need to know and why many people will get burned🧵👇

(1/8) Image
Why was farming Blur so profitable?

Pretty easy, people just underestimated the outcome A LOT.

(2/8)
People are expecting the same now and we see Top Bids over the floor price across the board.

People are esentially wash trading and willing to sell for a loss just to farm some points.

Why my threads keep showing up on your timeline even tho I only have 4k Followers?

Here is how you BREAK the Twitter algorithm using threads 🧵👇

(1/15) Image
You probably know it already, but the first tweet is the most important one.

Make it catchy, give people the feeling to miss out on something if they don't read it.

But how to increase the conversion rate besides making it catchy, using a picture etc?

(2/15)
Here comes the most important part.

Most people use this index to show how long the thread is, KEEP IT AS SHORT AS POSSIBLE!

Most people on Twitter are passive consumers, they won't even consider clicking a (1/20) thread.
