My religious upbringing similarly discouraged competitive sports. Did my parents ever demand the school change their curriculum to accommodate me? No, of course not

@MonkEmma Would a Muslim parent demand that the school change their lessons so as not to draw Mohammed or Jesus, or possibly any human? Almost certainly, yes.
@MonkEmma We know this because the Batley School Grammar teacher who showed children an image of Mohammed is still in hiding. Asking a child to draw Mohammed would be an even worse offence.
@MonkEmma So the purpose of the guidance document is to relativise Islamic demands for certain things by comparing them with other cultures' sensitivities.
This is a strawman, because the evidence for these other cultures demanding their sensitivities are respected is incredibly weak.
