I think most people are missing the point with regards to this free-trade "deal" with Australia.

The UK government's priority here is to get in place an agreement that is incompatible with EU, so as to make it harder to unwind their Brexit when they inevitably lose power. The "deal" (read: "sell-out") will screw over UK farmers, definitely. But that's just collateral damage for a government that wants to be sure that future UK governments can't row back.

Ok, so. As many followers will be aware, I'm on the #LibDems Federal Policy Committee - the body that writes in depth policy papers (& ultimately the Manifesto)

So I decided to look at Labour's newly announced Ofsted policy.

Thread Now for a start off, it's a bit tricky to find out exactly what Labour's policy actually *is*.

They don't publish detailed plans of what they'll do, so I'm running on statements from official spokespeople.
