A thread on the soviet spellweaver architect Alexey Dushkin:
The city of Simferopol (the second-largest city in Crimea) has a train station with an interesting clock tower. The tower features a zodiac dial with 'wrong' zodiac signs.
"A mistake made by the soviet workers not well-versed in astrology," as the local guides explain.
The dial (here overlayed with the correct zodiac signs) features massive cast bas-reliefs, which are too expensive and labour-intensive to be there by mistake. Most notably, the zodiac lacks 3 signs: Taurus, Virgo and Libra.
