1. People can show that they care, but they don't. It takes nothing to project by tweeting that they are with you. In reality, if you ask them for help, they won't even lift a finger.

2. The truth behind such behaviour is, that you know you will gain sympathy, and will.........
Recieve messages, tweets from people, stating that they are with you. You know that this will happen, it will make you feel good that people care about it.

Also, it is beyond masculinity and femininity. It is about the drama performed by a human.

If you had 0 followers, no...
One read your tweet, would you still post it?

Never. It is like modern depression. It is a luxurious facility that is bestowed upon you. This sympathy seeking behaviour explains depression as well. Cavemen never had this luxury. Such an event, would mean death. You, pay no cost

It is the nature of society to reduce itself to ashes

Constant cosmetic clashes, conflicts escalate periodically

If a human being dedicates his faculty to such events

He will lose touch with reality and undermine the precious human time
Time is divine. What else can substitute time?

Nothing.

A sincere human being understands how each moment is a gift bestowed upon him

He understands, that people waste time, because they have became accustomed to doing so
He realises that the cost of ignoring truth is one, which he cannot repay

This sincerity makes him utmost devoted to his life, and to his craft

He spends his life, in the lap of truth

Thus, he is the only one who truly lives

Why do we fear Death? What is the significance of Death in our lives?

A detailed thread, I urge you all to give it a read
One must examine deeply, from where the fear of death truly originates

The observer who seeks the truth, transcends his own death
Human beings long for the eternal

The idea that something may end/ is finite

Is deeply disturbing

The pleasure from playing a game

Is derived only if the game is finite

Or if it has an endpoint

Without endpoint, the game has no relevance

Dissonance in social Psychology Image
Inconsistency between two cognitions creates dislike which gives rise to a desire, to
reduce or abolish the inconsistency
In other words, cognitive dissonance is a situation which involves conflicting belief or behaviour, which produces a feeling of discomfort, an aversive emotional state of dissonance, and the individual further takes action to reduce this discomfort which would lead to consistency

Advaita Vedanta Explained – Philosophy of Non-Dualism
Basic philosophy of Advaita Vedanta, in one word, is: ONENESS

Consider an ocean, which has countless number of drops
All the drops together
form the ocean

Each drop has exactly the same property of the water as that of the
ocean

Yet, the drops feel that they are seperated from the Ocean

This is precisely what I advocate for as well. Every field contains some fundamental truths, some rules. Don't jump off to perform, first learn the truths, learn the patterns, go deep into the field. Direction-less grind is a waste of effort and energy. Read this piece from DT
Direction-less struggle is a pointless endeavour
Your effort is fruitless is not efficient

The Ionian Philosophers (Part 3) Image
Scientific thinking dates back about 2,600 years to the Greek philosophers of Ionia

Ionia got the name from Ionians ,who were living in Greece at the end of the Late Bronze Age, when a Greek civilization, called the Mycenaean civilization, declined around 1,200 BCE Image
Ionian cities became the intellectual leaders of Greece in the 6th century BCE, the city of Miletus became the focus of an intellectual revolution

Ionian intellectuals were not heavily influenced by religion nor limited by ancient books claiming truth or divine revelation Image

Branches Of Philosophy (Part 2)
1. Metaphysics

The name β€˜Metaphysics’ is derived from the Greek words β€˜Meta’, which means beyond or after, and β€˜Physika’, which means physics

It is that branch of philosophy which goes beyond the realms of science
Aristotle, one of the most well-known philosophers, acknowledged Thales as the first known metaphysician.

Some metaphysical questions are:

What is the meaning of life?
What is our place in the universe?
What is consciousness?
Does the world really exist?

Introduction To Philosophy (Part 1)
First, let us begin our examination and exploration by trying to define Philosophy

Philosophy, in my opinion, is the way of thinking. Critically engaging in ideas, and trying to deconstruct and break down questions and thoughts by using tools of rational enquiry
My favourite definition is the one given by Krishnamurti:

"Philosophy means love of truth, not according to some theories or speculative concepts/imagination, but to lead in daily life, a truthful life...

A donkey was tied to a tree. One night a ghost cut the rope and released the donkey free.
The donkey went and destroyed the crops in an adjacent farmer's land.
Infuriated, the farmer's wife shot the donkey and killed it.
The donkey's owner was devastated at the loss. In reply, he shot dead the farmer's wife.
Angered by his wife's death, the farmer took a sickle and killed the donkey's owner.
The wife of the donkey's owner got so angry that she and her sons set the farmer's house on fire.
The farmer, looking at his house turned into ashes, killed the wife and children of the donkey's owner.

Lessons from the World's greatest investors

I will tell you how to become rich. Close the doors. Be fearful when others are greedy. Be greedy when others are fearful

Be prepared to invest in a down market and to "get out" in a soaring market, as per the philosophy of Warren Buffett
With a good perspective on history, we can have a better understanding of the past and present, and thus a clear vision of the future

It's far too easy for investors to lose perspective. Whenever something big goes wrong, a lot of people panic and sell their investments

Be water, my friend
Empty your mind, be formless. Shapeless, like water. If you put water into a cup, it becomes the cup. You put water into a bottle and it becomes the bottle. You put it in a teapot, it becomes the teapot. Now, water can flow or it can crash. Be water, my friend
If you truly love life, don’t waste time because time is what life is made of

Defeat is a state of mind; no one is ever defeated until defeat has been accepted as a reality

1. Our notions about happiness entrap us. We forget that they are just ideas. Our idea of happiness can prevent us from actually being happy. We fail to see the opportunity for joy that is right in front of us when we are caught in a belief that happiness should take a par. form
2. To be beautiful means to be yourself. You don’t need to be accepted by others. You need to accept yourself
