Lol! These your leaders are full of it. Tweeps tested that app when the news broke...screenshots are here.
We know what we are talking about.

But noo...Ronnie believes a white man is innovative by default. Doesn't need to try the product. Folk like @RonnieOsumba is how those two broke Harvard grads got to meet the president with their $1,000 dream to build a city in Ghana.

I'm still flabbergasted at the audacity of someone raising $1mn to "invent" food delivery in Nairobi.

This city where you can order anything and have it in your house in 2 hours time. Where my kibanda delivers chapos in an hour.

All with no address system. Kenya is an example of enterprise ALWAYS being ahead of a government which is supposed to enable enterprise but doesn't care

Look. I hear the argument that African startups need to raise money from Africa.

Buuuut... the African market is open to all. Unless we are arguing for closed markets, then the first argument is broken. Why? Cos the playground will never be level.

All evidence points to the fact that Silicon Valley money coming to Africa is a welfare program from wealthy old white folk, to wealthy Ivy League grads.

No amount of chamas coming together will compete with that.

Anyway. We've been talking about Cytonn for years and keep getting dismissed as haters.

Finance stuff is boring. If an investment product's fundamental principles are wrong, someone will lose money. I am a BIG believer in capital preservation when it comes to investing.

We (young Africans) do not get too many chances at losing, then regaining money.

The hypocrisies CNA displays will take years to fully dissect.

So she had trans women as friends, and instead of talking and listening to them, she went answering questions and dismissing all feedback as "trans noise"?

Yet she expected to be called and corrected privately? Had she ever discussed these issues with these her close friends that hurt her so much when they publicly blasted her?

In a few years, some of you will be back here again to thank those who took the vitriol, and bore the cost of your learning to not be sexist and homophobic.

This time it will be transphobia. Because y'all refuse to listen to marginalized folk. You have nothing to gain by being so loudly ignorant.

Her entire article = her doing the same things she is accusing young folk of doing, in the last paragraph. Only her platform is times bigger.

Sis... CNA basically says she was called out in 2017, yet those tweets were in 2020. She deliberately lies about the timeline so she can publish private emails between her and that writer. Sis please...

Currently watching the absolutely brilliant @MazzucatoM talk about how small states can rethink their innovation policies/partnerships.

Image Mazzucato says that government support for private sector dvlpmt must come with public obligations e.g sustainability etc, as opposed to traditional sector support & PPPs which purely focus on developing the private.
