Anon did you know the first announced @optimismPBC airdrop was just a teaser? 😬

The first was designed to target a broad userbase and be maximally fair.

The second is going to early Optimism projects for them to distribute as they please.

@synthetix_io e.g received $9m $OP Image
It's believed that these projects will reward some of their LP's & users retroactively (before airdrop announcement) but some will be going to users bridging into Optimism today and onwards.

The time to bridge into @optimismPBC is now!
E.g @lyrafinance has announced it will give 10% retroactively and the rest will be distributed for new users from this point onwards.

$COW token is finally expected to unlock around 3pm UTC today.

This will kick off a 12 week $COW liquidity mining program on @ethereum & @gnosis chain aginst $ETH and $GNO pairs.

On Ethereum $COW pool will be on @BalancerLabs & on gnosis chain it will be on @SwaprEth.

It's increasingly becoming evident that no monolithic blockchain can scale enough to meet the demands of potentially billions of users

Especially not without compromising on decentralization

Ethereum has chosen to scale *vertically* through rollups which seems very promising
Rollups change the game for Ethereum by separating execution from storage

Today, execution takes up a lot of the blockspace on Ethereum, making transactions expensive.

Increasingly, execution will shift to rollups which only submit proofs ("data") to the Ethereum mainchain
