ORISHA OSANYIN

GOD OF HERBS

A DEITY OF THE YORUBA TRIBE, WORLDWIDE

Decades ago, before you and I got here, there lived a young man in his early days, He Entered a very thick Forrest in search of supernatural powers,

He suddenly heard his name from the deep of the forest, it was an unclear voice , it sounded like that of a bird , he answered, and demanded that whoever it was to reveal its self.

The voice became clearer as Osanyin appeared to him and said "SÀŃGÒ ! SANGO!! SANGO !!! "

I am Osanyin , the orisha that sees all even though I have only one eye, I hear all even though I have one tiny and big ear , I have one arm which seems like a hundred arms, one leg faster than a lightening

an Odu in IFA has it that it was Osanyin that gave sango his Gourd of flames , which allows him spit fire from his mouth , Immediately Sango received it, he realizes his destiny

Before OSANYIN became a deity of herbs, he was the younger brother of ORUNMILA

One day ORUNMILA asked his younger brother(OSANYIN) to go pull/cut the weed at the back of their house, when ORUNMILA returned to check on his brother, he realizes that his brother did not cut the weed, he asked him why,

osanyin said, these are not weeds, these are herbs meant for healing, this one is meant to heal the heart, this is meant for fortune

” He pointed out many other plants, identifying each of their spiritual qualities. Orunmila was surprised that his brother had such a deep knowledge about plants and herbage

The name Òsányìn comes from the Yoruba language meaning: ò (WHO), sán (Heals), yìn (praise) in other words “He who heals is worth the praise”.

OSANYIN Captured on video talking to an IFA priest,

Observe the bird like voice

Am sure most of us have heard sounds like this before, if only we listened deeply
