Hello world! Since I moved to Morocco my life has been nothing but a frantic race. On this #podcastfriday I'm here to celebrate and recommend five #podcasts that have helped me stay (kinda) sane and connected to the voices of women and feminists in Africa and beyond
@NdiniMedia features inspiring conversations with African women from all walks of life - entrepreneurs, artists, activists, etc. They speak with @SandraChuma about the lessons they've learned on their path to success. More at ndini.com #podcastfriday
If you love books and are not listening to @NABookPodcast, what are you doing with your life? @bookshybooks @BooksAndRhymes and @postcolonialchi talk books and the literary industry with infectious joy. Great book recommendations too. Ladies can I be your friend? #podcastfriday
I recently discovered The Conversation podcast on @bbcworldservice, and now I’m addicted. @KimChakanetsa hosts two women from different backgrounds who share a common fate for a thought-provoking conversation. Still discovering but I’d definitely recommend! #podcastfriday
@rebelgirlsbook podcast is enchanting: historical fairy tales about real, kick-ass women, brilliantly narrated by other fantastic change-makers. I loved @melindagates' recount of Wangari Maathai's life, and @TaranaBurke reading about Harriet Tubman gave me life #podcastfriday
I've been intrigued by @mamacash’s approach to feminist philanthropy so when I heard they started the Tea with Mama Cash podcast, I dived right in. Great debates between two senior staff who often disagree, which I love. Happy Mwende Kinyili is my new brain-crush #podcastfriday
Bonus recommendation because I love y'all so much: @lapoudreNE is an amazing exploration of what drives French feminists. @laurenbastide goes out of her way to curate an intersectional conversation. Episodes now available in English! Fav episode: with @OrpheoNegra #podcastfriday
African #Feminists : What podcasts are you listening to? Please share recommendations! @Aliben86 @catherinenyamb1 @AfriFeminists @kaviemakau @felogene @livingtruely @afrofeminista @tityagb #podcastfriday
