A test using high-altitude balloon to launch the flight vehicle has been successfully performed, allegedly, this was exactly the test which closed a large area of airspace in the Northwest of China.

Some details, the three scale models in this test were developed by Institute of Mechanics, CAS. named D18-3S, D18-1S & D18-2S from left to right in 1st photo. Apparently, D18-3S/1S with a dimension of 2m×1.5m are set as comparisons in a conventional configuration.
The black one i.e. D18-2/S using different material featuring cantilever wing is rare in hypersonic configuration design.
Since these are unpowered flight vehicles, which can only beyond the sound speed, more tests should follow as expected.
