Earlier this year I designed a very special 💍 ring in #ZBrush and wanted to try to print it in 3D using @shapeways
I sourced an 💎 Emerald from 🇨🇴 Colombia and set it into my first prototype!

During a ☀️ sunny weekend in Feb ☀️, I took my girlfriend to Bournemouth. Waiting for the right moment, I proposed her as we reached the top of a romantic cliffside. She accepted on this prototype and after a few design tweaks I transferred the Emerald into an updated version.
Together we designed our wedding bands. We added random facets to catch cool ✨ highlights ✨ and wrote a personal 💌 message directly into the 3D mesh. It's mind blowing to see the resulting detail and precision!
Last week we got 👰🤵 married!
Meanwhile I asked my friend @studioloys to model us, for on top of the 🎂 cake! He sculpted and painted everything in @pixologic #ZBrush and we printed it to 18cm tall in 🌈 Full Color Sandstone with a gloss finish @shapeways
We had a great wedding and I'm super excited to have been able to use 3D printing to infuse an extra bit of personality into our big 💖 day! So many technologies are coming into maturity right now, from 3D Printing to VR, there's never been a more exciting time to be a 3D artist!
