/ quick thoughts from the Amazing #comebackcities tour through charlotte, Columbia, Orangeburg and @CityofAtlanta

/ catalyzing role of public-private partnership in more nascent ecosystems; good example of coordination and sustained investment by multiple entities

/ importance of key super angels in fostering early entrepreneurs and connecting them to broader coastal funding sources

/ magic impact of local entrepreneurs committed to giving back to their home ecosystems eg @pauljudge and @davidcummings in ATL

/ amazing energy of the students at all the HBCUs we visited; the significance of which I did not fully appreciate until we heard the stories of @JimClyburnSC and student entrepreneurs @Morehouse @ClaflinUniv1869 @SCSTATE1896 @BC_Tigers Johnson C Smith

/ importance of spaces to meet others with shared interests and experiences e.g. @socowork @digundiv @atdc which we often take for granted in the Bay Area and we need more of in Southeast Asia; spaces with heart and soul not just property plays!

/ hunger for connection to bigger ecosystems; I suggested to a couple of folks internships to the Bay Area similar to @NUSingapore ‘s overseas college program; could start with a few as MVP, I know we would welcome a summer intern @HustleFundVC next year

/ more thoughts to come after the flight; what can SF learn from ATL, how can mid-tier cities keep talent from moving to larger regional hubs, ways in which I sometimes felt we were speaking different languages (Smallbiz vs high growth startup), capital vs venture-backable
