The final Council Meeting has just started.

Emma has stated:
-1144 nominations were received
- In terms of promotion: email was the most successful in gaining nominations.
- The personalised pencils were a hit

Emma has added:
- That the awards have been the highlight of her time and council
- Has thanked our Student Engagement Coordinator, Aimee and all of the Councillors for all of their help

Now on to @GUSRC_President's report
- She had a productive meeting regarding the Student Carers policy
- The Student Experience Committee meeting was also useful & there was discussions regarding BAME representation + introducing a Content Warning policy #GUSRCCouncilMtg

@GUSRC_President - In a recent strategy meeting there was a discussion regarding amending 'Good Cause' to make it easier to submit a claim
- The university is launching an Enterprise Management System - a new way to submit online queries regarding a wide range of topics

@GUSRC_President - Lauren has also added that permanent 24/7 Library Access is currently being reviewed
- At the recent university Court meeting there was discussion surrounding better IT infrastructure on campus.

@GUSRC_President Finally, Lauren has added :
- We are currently working on a guarantor scheme with financial aid as not being able to provide a UK guarantor is an issue that many international/estranged students face
- The uni are working on an opt-out lecture recording policy

Emma has stated:
- The ELIR meeting went well
- Pop-up study spaces are happening this semester
- Alongside our Student Engagement Coordinator, she'll be visiting Dumfries to discuss how we can work together

Scott has stated:
- Freshers' Helpers applications are currently open
- Tea-stress stall is taking place next week + has asked for volunteers
- The Cross Campus Freshers' Week review has ended

- Lauren + Fatemeh recently presented to the SMG about the BAME Student Experience & now a few academics are working on decolonising the curriculum & are looking for student involement
- The Student Parents' Policy has launched.

Vicky Ferry, UG Arts Convenor has added an update to her report stating that some members of the College of Arts are enthusiastic about getting more involved with the SRC.

@GUSRC_President @GUSRC_VPED @GUSRC_VPSA @GUSRC_VPSS Bethan Hall-Jones, UG Science and Engineering Convenor has highlighted from her report that lecturers in her College would be happy with the opt-out policy if they were able to opt-out without having to provide a reason.
