But it does make sense that the reason it's called legacy and people talking about it in the first place is that, it runs the business for them. And he goes on explaining the reasons for it. (4/n)
Some of the reasons can be due to the fact that the people who worked on it originally might have left/the team got re-orged etc. (5/n)
In the end, he gives a few recommendations for not letting the unmaintained codebase to become an Achilles heel for someone by letting newcomers work on that it, have good documentation paying attention to the design decisions that were made among other things. (6/6)
