(A thread about @amazon & privacy 👇)

It’s #PrimeDay — which means you can get all sorts of connected products on sale. But is it worth it if that new gadget compromises your privacy and security?

We were surprised to learn that countless connected products for sale on Amazon *don’t even have privacy policies.* So there’s no way to know if they’re mishandling your data.

Amazon needs to fix this. We sent a letter urging Amazon to mandate privacy policies for all third-party connected products they sell.

The letter is co-signed by @internetsociety @openmicmedia @commercialfree @fightfortheftr
@privacyint & @ConsumerFed
