I guess it is shocking and suspicious that Jeffrey Epstein died while incarcerated because it is Jeffrey Epstein, but people die in jails and prisons every day in video monitored cells or while on suicide-watch and no one blinks. appealpolitics.org/2019/jail-deat…
Two people die in county jails every day. That's just county jails, not prisons. In Cuyahoga County Jail in Cleveland, Ohio, 9 people have died in the past year, 5 by suicide. Most recently, in May, Nicholas Colbert, a 36-year-old army veteran. theappeal.org/veterans-death…

@splcenter @nytimes We literally ignore that people are dying every day in our jails and prisons, until a rich White man does. And even then there is only real interest because there is a conspiracy theory angle.
@splcenter @nytimes Don't get me wrong. Jeffrey Epstein's death should be investigated. It is super troubling.
So should all the other deaths of people in jails in prisons. Their lives are just as valuable and they deserve just as much justice.
