A motley crew of Infowars hosts, Q followers, “militia” dudes, right wing fight clubs, and neo-Nazis are gathering in Portland today, even though almost none of them live there. They have an audience of one. This guy.

This is one of the organizers on FB yesterday. The president answered their prayers this morning. He’s watching.

The event organizers have been sniping at and fighting with each other for days. They’re barely holding it together. Trump’s tweet will serve as a pep talk, as inspiration.

There is zero doubt that these violent, hateful far right groups support Trump. The GOP frequently tries to claim he doesn’t support them. Well, this morning he tweeted them a fist bump in preparation for their big day.

Don't forget that the right wing narrative about antifa has been building since 2017. Remember Nov 2017 when Fox & every news outlet to their right reported there was going to be a massive, nationwide massacre by antifa & then, of course, nothing happened?

The event today is of a piece with the event back in June. It's not about free speech. It's about giving the Trump Administration an excuse to crack down on leftists. It's calling for an *amplification* of state power to be used against dissenters.

There are probably more MAGA conspiracy theorists like this guy whose dreams are filled with visions of antifa than there are actual humans affiliated with that group.

As I was saying, an audience of one.
