When Berners mention @BernieSanders many years of being "on the right side of the issues", I wonder what they are smoking. First, many years with few accomplishments is a disqualifier in my book. There is no one less effective running.
@BernieSanders I don't care if you are right on every issue, if you are such a disagreeable, self-righteous ass no one trusts you to work with you, then get out of the way so someone who is also good on the issue and can play well with others can take your place.
@BernieSanders All Bernie's many years of yelling about the issues represent to me is the opportunity cost of having a gadfly rather than a lawmaker. What could have been done with effective representation? We will never know, but a wombat could have done as well
@BernieSanders And then there is the idea that Bernie has been right on the issues. Tell that to the children of Sandy Hook, the ones who aren't dead. Tell the parents of the many dead at the wrong end of an assault rifle how proud you are of Bernie's votes against an assault rifle ban
@BernieSanders Or to the many immigrants who hoped for the passage of immigration reform, a hope that died with a filibuster Bernie voted with Republicans to sustain. He was on Lou Dobbs Whack-A-Latino show to complain immigrants hurt labor.
@BernieSanders Then there is Bernie's voting for a GOP conspiracist amendment to protect the Minutemen militia, an anti-immigrant group patrolling the border,
@BernieSanders Is Bernie on the right side when he wants to consign the developing world to economic collapse and civil war by outlawing purchases of products from countries that pay lower wages than here? No worries, he will send food aid.
@BernieSanders Is he on the right side of history when he calls abortion rights and gay rights distractions from the real issues, when he makes enemies of their advocates as the establishment
@BernieSanders Is Bernie on the right side of history when derides the very idea of a government that looks like America as "identity politics" as though there is something pernicious in wanting representation by people of color and women.
@BernieSanders Is Bernie on the right side of history when he elevates white men as the only authentic representatives of the working class, ignoring that the majority of the working class as women and people of color?
@BernieSanders Is Bernie on the right side of history when he says a gun in Vermont is different than a gun in Chicago?
@BernieSanders Is Bernie on the right side of history when he nimby's hazardous waste to a poor Latino community in Texas and gets his wife a nice little job on the board administering it?
@BernieSanders Is Bernie on the right side when he says women get cancer because they don't have enough orgasms? that they fantasize about gang rape? & please do not haul out the satire or youthful excuses, they won't wash
@BernieSanders Bernie is on a side of history. The side long past its sell-by-date, the side that lifts him up as a white savior while discounting Black agency & representation, even civil rights heroes. The side that tells women to be fuckable, not frigid, but don't think you can be president
@BernieSanders Bernie is a retrograde progressive, as he likes to call himself an FDR kind of progressive, but don't forget, FDR cut out Black people from unemployment, social security, and the rest of the New Deal for the white working class. We don't need FDR progressives.
@BernieSanders We need progressives that believe in and support candidates of color and women candidates and twofers like Kamala. We need candidates who believe in America enough to give them a chance to redeem 2016. Not the candidates who make the racists comfortable
