John Ashcroft became Attorney General (head of the Dept of Justice) in 2001. Did he approve the IDW contracts?

AG Ashcroft doesn't read.
He doesn't hire qualified experts.
He surrounds himself with political operatives.
Sound familiar?

Ashcroft's grandad was an Irish immigrant who became a traveling evangelist in the Assemblies of God, which Jimmy Swaggart & Tammy Faye Bakker were a part of. John grew up in Springfield, MO, where Assemblies of God HQ was.

His father was president of 3 Church colleges

Ashcroft failed up in a big way.

Abortion was his first big cause. Argued against rape & incest exemptions and blocking 2nd trimester abortions.
No alcohol. No dancing. No gambling.
Tried to dissolve Endowment for Arts.
He wanted to be POTUS. Badly.

The first 5 people to contribute to his POTUS campaign:
Pat Robertson (TV preacher)
Donald Wildmon (Radio preacher)
Michael Farris (Constitutional lawyer)
Jay Sekulow (Trump's TV lawyer)📌
Paul Weyrich (founded Heritage Foundation w/ Coors)

Ashcroft never focused on detail or passing laws. He fought for policies and big ideas.

He used 9/11 to browbeat Congress into passing the Patriot Act. He suggested anyone who opposed him was anti-American and hurting National Security.
Sound familiar?

Then Ashcroft did a funny thing.
He changed a law that AG Reno made under Clinton, requiring gun purchase records to be held for 90 days.
He made the FBI destroy those records after only 24 hours.
The FBI had found 34 guns purchased by detained terror suspects, you see.

It may shock you that Ashcroft's PAC, Spirit of America, collected donations long after he became AG. He insists he had nothing to do with it.

Also, it violated campaign finance laws: edition.cnn.com/2001/ALLPOLITI…

2002: Mr. Webster leads a Commission to review FBI Security Programs. Computer and network security are found woefully lacking, and recommendations are made.
FBI Director is Louis Freeh.
This was in response to Robert Hanssen's treachery.

That year, the FBI starts to spend funds on the Investigative Data Warehouse project (IDW.) Admins will be contractors and FBI employees and users will only be allowed to access the system from FBI facilities.

A press release proudly crows that the FBI hired Chiliad (owned by spy-traitor-mobster-publisher-politician Robert Maxwell's daughters) to build the IDW.

2004: Dir FBI Mueller outlines the FBI's response to 9/11 and states that the IDW will ultimately become the statement of record for all FBI files, the MDW.

BONUS: David Ayres, Ashcroft's top aide, went on to head his consulting firm. He fast-tracked DoJ approval for a jail on tribal land. The tribe was one of Abramoff's oldest clients.
