Fayetteville, #Arkansas Doctor Robert Morris Levy, who worked with the Fayetteville #VA, was arrested for mail & wire fraud, making false statements to the VA OIG, and 3 counts of involuntary manslaughter for the death of 3 veteran patients.
Levy was also under the influence while working. He was interviewed for being under the influence of alcohol in 2015, but denied it. (I guess nothing came of it)
In 2016, he appeared drunk again, was tested, and was found to have .396.0 mg/dL in his system and was suspended.
Levy admitted to it & entered a treatment program. After treatment, he made plans to go back to work for the VA. He had to submit to various drug tests, which he passed, however it looks like they found out later that he bought some substance to beat those tests.
He also admitted to entering false medical information in patient records that he knew was false & cause the death of patients through false diagnoses and lying that a 2nd pathologist agreed with his diagnoses.
Now just think if new laws weren't passed to enable the firing of VA employees. This guy would probably still be on the job.
