question: do you know where your tax dollars are spent? do you really? i’d guess upwards of 90% of your “taxes” are allocated to things that don't even benefit you. like paying for the interest on our national debt. by the way, whats up with that debt? Let’s see....

1) so yeah, my favorite part is how $229.2 billion (over a quarter of a trillion!) of our federal spending (in 2015) went to INTEREST on our national debt. yes, that means…. NOTHING! not lowering it, not paying any of it off… just interest. you might as well burn it up.

2) but why does “the most powerful country in the world” have to borrow money with interest from a private entity (federal reserve), which is the only reason inflation and debt exists? If that doesn't add up… our gov has “lost” nearly as much as we owe

3) …so that video was from 2013. our total debt was ~15 trillion. hey now that $8.5 trillion that they “lost” would have really gone a long way. i also love how they call most of it “public debt” like we had anything to do with it. we hate the federal reserve and our fake money

4) but don’t let that get you down.. you just need to go to college and get a good job. you’ll just need another loan plus interest. and yes, you have to pay for the privilege to hopefully be chosen to spend the rest of your life working. don't ask questions, okay? .....

5) after all, most of your childhood was spent being trained to sit at a desk 5 days a week doing and learning what you’re told. might as well continue to do that for the rest of your existence. if you're lucky, you'll only need one job!

6) anyway, next up is a house, car, etc... which you will likely need loans for. then there’s property taxes, insurance, utilities... before you know it probably 85% (if you're lucky) of your income is accounted for in the name of taxes, bills, loans, interest on said loans...

7) don't get me wrong, some taxes make sense, but let’s be honest, is anyone thrilled with the ROI from these “taxes” we pay? i'm certainly not. let’s not forget, we also have local/state taxes. here’s a break down of those. any guesses on which states have the highest taxes?

8) mostly just the ones in the worst shape. California? homeless everywhere. NY? people and businesses fleeing in droves. Illinois? parts of Chicago might as well be a third world country. MD? same… see Baltimore. the list goes on....

9) want to buy something? boom. taxed. sell something? there's a tax for that. start a business? LOTS of taxes. have a problem? too bad...

but at least we are all aware of it. we all laugh at the "death and taxes" line we've heard since birth. guess that's just how it is, huh?

10) so are we really free? or just living in a world where we only have the illusion of freedom? it’s pretty hard at this point to deny that those who've been pulling the strings have been robbing us for decades if not centuries... so when do we the people say enough is enough?
