This is very interesting: Apparently an Indian MI officer arrested for trying to expose his superiors' extra-judicial killings has himself been framed, accused of various charges and, get this, has requested Col "Hunny" Bakshi to be his defence counsel.

Col Bakshi was a key figure in the setup/operations of Technical Support Division (TSD), a clandestine cross-border intelligence operations unit under Indian MI launched when Gen V.K. Singh was COAS.
TSD was responsible for several state-sponsored terrorist attacks in Pakistan including bombing of an ISI setup in Faisalabad.

Lt Col Singh's request suggests that the TSD is still active. Has it been re-oriented from Pakistan to within North-East India? What else could possibly explain a serving MI Lt Col requesting counsel by a "disbanded" covert unit's CO?
Bear in mind that Lt Col Dharamvir Singh is being implicated on apparently trumped-up charges for calling out his superiors' illegal conduct. The recent establishment of a Human Rights and Vigilance Cell (under IPS officer) at Army HQ should probe this as its first test case.
This Sikh-origin officer is being viciously intimadated whereas, in contrast, Hindu Brahmin Lt Col Prasad Srikant Purohit (another MI colleague) who was part of the Sangh Parivar was set free will full honours by Doval himself.
