Twitter right now kinda feels like a preview of The Simpsons episode when Monte Burns passes away.
Homer will say inappropriately gleeful things. Marge will tell him he shouldn't say such things. Lisa will wax philosophical about how death comes to us all and we should be humbled.
Bart will make a sign about it and fly it out his window and then Homer, having learned lessons from Marge and Lisa, will reluctantly tell him to take it down, and then he'll go to Moe's and tell the guys proudly about what his kid did and they'll all laugh.
And then they'll get quiet and someone will say they're going to kinda miss the old codger.
And then there's Smithers. He'll just get a gig at a conservative think tank and be totally fine.
