Didn’t get to do a @Redskins vs @AtlantaFalcons Preseason Game #3 breakdown yesterday due to i was participating in a charity golf tourney. So here it is!!!
1. Kelvin Harmon, the guy who fell in the draft supposedly because of “lack of speed,” showed great footwork,speed, and separation on a fly route that Haskins dropped the ball into the bucket for. Harmon isn’t getting talked about a lot but he’s looking like a steal.
2. Ereck Flowers has showed he does a great job run blocking, his hands are strong making it easy for him to maul defenders. That doesn’t mean he should be starting, his first punch and footwork on pass pro is horrendous. This needs to be cleaned up for him to be a starter.
3. Jimmy “The people’s Corner” Moreland, with an injury possibly sidelining Moreau. Moreland should grab the starting slot corner spot and never let it go. JM beat a WRs and a LTs block on a RB screen which lead to him bringing down the ball carrier for a short gain. He’s tough.
4. I like Keenum a lot as the starting QB, he looked decisive and accurate with the football. Hit V Davis in stride for a big gain on a seam route. Skins are in a good position, let Keenum start until the wheels fall off, then Haskins gets his chance. More time = Haskins better
5. This defensive line for the @Redskins is just flat out disgusting. Dominating the point of attack and the LOS, this is a Top5 unit not only on the NFC but in the NFL too. The ? Is can the offense keep them off the field to preserve their energy over 16 games.
6. Who fake punts in a preseason game? Douchebags, that’s what Kotwica and Quinn both are. @JGruden3.
7. I really like this RB Craig Reynolds, I hope the Skins can put him on the practice squad! Shows quickness, speed, and balance. With all the injuries they have it’d be smart to keep him around, can’t rely on Perine.
8. Bostic has impressed me more and more every time I see him. He was all over the field on Thursday night chasing down Freeman and Smith while they were running for their lives from our Dline. MLB is one of the weakest on D but I like the stability Bostic brings.
9. The team is very similar to last year but more explosive 🧨 at WR, QB, and RB. After watching these 3 games there is no doubt that the @Redskins are better now than they were at the start of last year.
With injury concerns for Wentz, Contract issues in Dallas, and Eli in NY. The @Redskins could surprise a lot of people this year and go 10-6, it all depends on how well they run the ball. Cough cough @TrentW71 👀. #HTTR
1A. Harmon read the ball beautifully, flipped his hips to turn around at the perfect time for an easy on the run catch with no interference from the corner. Haskins put this ball on the $, outside shoulder only where Harmon could get it. It’s a correct from last weeks INT.....
1B. @dh_simba7 continues to show improvement on a weekly basis, this is fun to watch.
