As a Muslim, one of the basic things you should know is that astrology, horoscopes, superstition and fortune-telling are all actions of jaahiliyyah (ignorance). Why? Because you tend to believe in something else other than Allah. It brings you to believe that benefits & harms get
to you because you're a Virgo, a Sagittarius, a Leo and what have you. The same thing goes for fortune-telling, you tend to believe that someone somewhere posses the knowledge of the unseen. But the truth is, they are all lies 😑
Ibn 'Abbas (May Allah be pleased with them) said:
The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said, "He who acquires a branch of the knowledge of astrology, learns a branch of magic (of which he acquires more as long as) he continues to do so."
[Abu Dawud]
Also, Abu Hurairah narrated:
"The Messenger of Allah said: 'Whoever has intercourse with a menstruating woman, or with a woman in her rear, or who goes to a FORTUNETELLER and believes what he says, he has DISBELIEVED in that which was revealed to Muhammad.'' (Ibn Majah)
How does it even seem sensible that you think because you belong to one horoscope sign, there's a deadly month in which you cannot travel 😂 Let's assume you happen to get a scholarship & your travel arrangements has been fixed for that month, won't you give your horoscope sign
the middle finger? This same horoscopic stuffs you check online is what your fortunetellers check for you to dupe you in return. Embrace the Islam completely without attachments keeping in mind the words of the one who created you & I:
Say, "Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector." And upon Allah let the believers rely.-Sura At-Tawbah, Ayah 51
No one knows the knowledge of the unseen. Do not visit a fortuneteller in a bid to know what the future holds, look at this
"Indeed, Allah [alone] has knowledge of the Hour and sends down the rain and knows what is in the wombs. And no soul perceives what it will earn tomorrow, and no soul perceives in what land it will die. Indeed, Allah is Knowing and Acquainted." -Sura Luqman, Ayah 34
