[1/2]◆Para Special Forces: Men apart every man an emperor..
“Mad” is what you will exclaim when you hear about their training and tales of valour, bordering on insanity. These superhumans can sacrifice it all for the honour of the regiment and motherland.

[1/3]◆surgical strikes and even more so after the release of the movie Uri-the surgical strike, for a lot of people all this is recent but para sf has been proving its combat capability right from its inception its just that not all of their operations are in public domain.

[1/4]◆This force was the brainchild of lt.Col Megh Singh, an officer of the brigade of guards during the 1965 indo- pak war,he believed that a small group of well-trained men can go beyond enemy lines and create havoc inside enemy territory.

[1/5]◆He proposed this idea to lt general Harbaksh Singh, the general agreed and thus was born the “Meghdoot force”. This force proved to be so effective that after the war it was given a permanent status and on 1st july 1966 9 para (commando) was raised.

[1/6]The unit had the honour of becoming india’s first sf battalion. less than a year later in june 1967 it was split into another unit the 10 para(commando).The units carried out the 2 famous raids deep in enemy territory- the chachro raid(10 para) and the mandhol raid(9 para).

[1/7]◆These were the first surgical strikes conducted by Para Sf. Their abilities were put to test in the war and for units which had negligible battle experience before the war, they proved to be excellent.

As time passed India felt the need for raising more sf units and at present has 9 sf units -1 para sf,2 para sf,3 para sf,4 para sf,9 para sf,10para sf,11 para sf,12 para sf,21 para sf.All the units specialize in a particular type of warfare and are equipped with the best weapons

[1/8]◆Being an elite Sf unit,the commandos of Para sf are accesed to use wide varieties of deadly weapons.These include world's most lethal Assault Rifles IWI Tavor TAR-21, U.S's M4A1 Carbine and Kalashnikov's AK-103 as their standard Assault Rifles.

[1/8]◆Their weaponry also includes elite machines like Austrian Glock-17(SA Pistol),Berretta 92(SA pistol) ,Belgian FN scar(AR),H&K MP5A(SMG),IWI Micro UZI(SMG),IWI Galil(AR and S niper),German H&K 416(AR),SVD Dragunov(sniper),Berret M107 A1(Anti-matter sniper Rifle) and so on.

[1/9]◆These are some well known equipment in the weaponry of Para Sf and many weapons are also used based on Op. But what ultimately makes them superhuman is the gruesome training they have to undergo. Its starts when an officer or a soldier volunteers for the special forces.

[1/10]◆He is then made to undergo living hell called the probation period for 3 months(for airborne battalions) and 6 months (sf battalions). The dropping rate is between 75-80% which means most of the men who volunteer ultimately opt out of the probation.

[1/11]◆The “probie” is broken down both mentally and physically and the instructors have countless methods to do it- from sleep deprivation to route marches ranging from 20 to 60 km and a lot of other methods which remain undisclosed.

[1/12]◆The cherry on the cake is a 100 km run to culminate the probation and the one who doesn’t give up has the honour to wear the maroon beret and the balidaan badge.This entire process is known as Probation period and also called as "90 days of Hell"

[1/13]◆This doesn’t stop here they undergo extensive training period in Special Forces Training school(STFS),Nahan,Himachal Pradesh.This school is also called as "The Kill House".

[1/14]Here they make commandos out of men and turns them into killing machines who can rip apart a man with nothing but bare hands.

[1/15]◆combat free fall badge which is earned by specializing in HALO and HAHO jumps.These men are India's finest they comprise of less than 1% of the indian army and if used correctly they are beasts and the enemy just a prey which is about to be hunted sooner or later.

[1/16]◆And finally,Can we eliminate hafiz saeed, Masood azhar, dawood Ibrahim and bring back kulbhushan jadhav ? the answer to this question are these men, just give them the "Go – Ahead" and they will fetch you results.
