In honor of Virgo season a few details about the sign from traditional Islamic astrology:
Virgo or Al Adhra is cold & dry, feminine, sterile, of great voice, generous, judging, and shapely
Women have long hair, men a little belly, both moles on chest
Virgo rules over eunuchs, singers, supervisors, and secretaries and bureaucrats.
Also rules Syria, the Euphrates, Sistan, and capital of Abyssinia
It has dominion over all things sown and running water.

And of course, one of the most famous Virgo in Islamic history, was Caliph Ma'mun who lead a civil war to overthrow his brother Al-Amin. When victorious, he marched into Baghdad wearing all green and had his entire retinue do the same.
Fancying himself an intellectual, Ma'mun patronized philosophy and science, reputedly establishing the House of Wisdom.
He also oversaw the minha, an inquisition-style series of trials that tested philosophers and scholars for their beliefs.
