@_centrists_ This probably the last profile moment for "Sanity."
twitter.com/i/moments/1153…
.
@_centrists_ I have an interstitial page set up for it, just in case I ever have cause to create another profile page moment. But that seems unlikely.
Twitter Safety and Trust is completely out of control, at this point. User accounts are being suspended, clearly without just cause.
@_centrists_ Appeals are being ignored. People I know personally have waited weeks and weeks for replies to appeals that never came.
They've checked back to find that their locked accounts were now suspended.
@_centrists_ On appealing the suspensions, they've been informed by Twitter's system that their original tickets were still open.
Nobody had even bothered to look at their appeals. Twitter has gotten to be that capricious.
@_centrists_ Trolls don't care about that sort of thing. They use throwaway accounts to bother people, and when their accounts get suspended, all that happens is that the evidence of their past wrongdoing is hidden from general view.
@_centrists_ But legitimate users, like the people I know who got boned over, put real time and love into what they do, as they create something to share with others.
To them, a suspension is a big deal, because it robs them of the fruits of their labors. It's not OK.
@_centrists_ But Twitter persists in doing this, because like the trolls it loves, Twitter has no respect for the legitimate user or for anything he does.
This being the case, to continue engaging actively on this platform would make no sense.
@_centrists_ To do so would be to endanger the content I've already posted - content that I can't save, because Twitter has taken away our ability to save our tweet archives. Because "giggle, giggle, neener, neener, we do what we want."
@_centrists_ There are a few navigational links I'm going to install, then I'm going to log out of this account for what will probably be the last time.
@_centrists_ I was thinking of un-following a lot of people, but to be blunt, I'm just not that motivated.
At this point, why would I be?
@_centrists_ This is the link to that (probably) final interstitial page
…35t4urrhwefehrtynwef4yrtner.food.blog/oh-well/
Notice the way Twitter mangles the link, leaving it marked with nothing but an ellipsis, confusing the reader in a completely gratuitous manner?
That seems to be something new.
@_centrists_ They seem to have started doing that, today, and it's going to mess with any navigational links I install.
Twitter: run by trolls, for trolls.
@_centrists_ I unrolled the thread you see above

and archived it

because I don't trust Twitter, any more.
