🧵 Abortion-rights advocates are suddenly pushing the idea that the pro-life movement is racist.

They’re doing that so people won’t notice that, to use the terms of the left, abortion does disproportionate violence to black bodies.

For example:

2) In New York City, thousands more black babies are aborted than born alive each year, and the abortion rate among black mothers is more than three times higher than it is for white mothers.”
wsj.com/articles/lets-…

3) “Although black Americans [make up] 13.4% of the U.S. population, they accounted for 36.0% of the abortions in 2015.”
cnsnews.com/news/article/e…

4) This article in the NYTimes makes clear that even pro-choice advocates realize that “black women...have abortions at disproportionately high rates.”
nytimes.com/2019/07/06/us/…

5) Given these facts, shouldn’t white supremacists support abortion? Turns out they do! Here’s Richard Spencer distancing himself from the pro-life movement:

6) In short, pro-choice advocates need to distract from the data showing that abortion disproportionately ends black lives, so they concoct a theory in keeping with the left’s stereotypes of conservatives. “If the right is for it, it must be racist.”

Nonsense.
